In life there are a lot of things we cannot control, like weather, traffic during the work week, people we meet, etc. What we can control is the way we react and prepare for the situations that are beyond us. What being FitStrong means to me is a constant lifestyle of preparation, and dedication for body and mind. To be ready for whatever life throws at me. In this day and age we thrive on Social Media and we get so caught up in other people’s lives that we forget to go after our goals and live our own lives. As a FitStrong athlete my goals are to reach people in a way that teaches them to take control of their lives. Life is meant to be lived to the fullest, not just watching other people live theirs. I want to make people aware of quality of life that is consistent, not based on wealth and possessions, but based on pure joy. Joy of your inner self, and joy of the accomplishment of the goals you set for yourself.

Aristotle once said “Quality is not an act, it is a Habit”. That is why I am FitStrong, because I surround myself with people who embody that quote everyday, and it keeps me dedicated to attaining that same quality. Not just when it suits me, but everyday. FitStrong is a continuous strive for quality and will never stop.

Being “FitStrong” is a lot more to me than just being in shape physically. Overall health comes from being at peace with yourself, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

My fitness journey began when I was 19 and had reached an all time low due to stress and depression from things life began to throw at me. When life gets tough some people turn to alcohol, some people turn to drugs, but for me… I turned to the gym.

You see, there are not many things in life that you have full control of. Most times it is hard to get back exactly what you put in. You can give your all to your job, to your relationship you may be in, and still be let down because you feel you are not getting back the same amount of effort or results that you are putting in are not reciprocated.

But that’s the beauty of what comes along with getting started in your own fitness journey. You DO get exactly what you put in. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. The harder you work and push yourself, the better you start to look which leads to more self confidence. Which ultimately leads to making you overall stronger mentally.

I truly believe what we are doing here at FitStrong is life changing! We are a family, here for each other to help each other progress and grow in EVERY aspect in life. It truly is a lifestyle.

I am FitStrong, I embody every part of this movement and hope to help everyone I possibly can to become the best person they can possibly be.

To me, being “FitStrong” is about striving to evolve into the best version of myself.
The moment you discover the power of living “Fitstrong”, you become invincible. My purpose is to show people how they can use fitness to evolve and live their life to the fullest.

I understand what it’s like to lack motivation due to feeling weak and drained both mentally and physically. In my life, I have had to combat many battles, so I can relate to people who deal with mental illness, chronic stress, and physical pain on a daily basis. Becoming “Fitstrong” has truly allowed me to grow both mentally and physically.

When you strive to be “Fitstrong”, you start living with a purpose. You learn that strength doesn’t come from what you can do, but from what you once thought you couldn’t. Being Fitstrong is much more than aesthetics and athleticism; it’s a necessity to establish self-love and respect. As you train your mind to ameliorate, your body will also follow. I strive to be Fitstrong so that I can be healthy, fulfill myself with positive energy, and increase my capabilities in life. I choose to be part of the FitStrong community, to contribute to the legacy that is changing the world.

When I was asked to define what it meant to be FitStrong to me, one word in specific came to mind. Courage. The courage to be different, to be unique, to be empowered, to be strong. See, courage is something I’ve struggled with my entire life. I often found myself lacking the courage to pursue the things I wanted most in life simply because I was afraid of failure, or what others would think of me. Recently, I’ve done a lot of soul searching and have truly fallen in love with who I am, what makes me different. When I stumbled upon the world of fitness, I began to realize what my passions in life truly were. Creating a healthy lifestyle is what wakes me up in the morning, it is the fire that fuels this burning desire to teach as many individuals as I can what I have learned and implemented in my life thus far. I have developed the courage to open up to the world and I want to share my experiences and shortcomings that have molded me into who I am today so that others who may feel alone on their journey will hopefully gain the courage to change their lives like I have changed mine. Being fit started out as an aesthetic goal for me, but it has transformed into an understanding that being fit makes you strong in all other aspects of life. My goal with FitStrong is to captivate as many women struggling with acceptance of who they are and self-love and guide them toward a happier and healthier life altogether. I would love nothing more than to help as many young women find their passion, their fire, their inner goddess, so that they may be able to one day help other young women reach that same level of self-worth.

Being a FitStrong athlete to me means being able to help other people grow as individuals. It means that you can achieve any goal you set for yourself no matter what it may be.

I want to help impact other people’s lives and set an example for everyone I meet. Fitness isn’t just one aspect of someone’s life, it can change everything and that’s what it did for me. Fitness has taught me mental strength, dedication, and the importance of having a positive outlook on life. It has helped me grow in so many areas of my life other than in the gym.

Being a FitStrong athlete means being a positive role model to other people and someone that others can look up to.
